Cleveland man accused of shooting wife, grandson turns himself into police

A Cleveland turned himself into police early Friday morning in connection with the shooting death of his wife and injuring his grandson. 

Charles Moon turned himself into Euclid police after he shot his 60-year-old wife inside their home in the 13000 block of Crennel Avenue following a verbal altercation, according to a Cleveland police news release. 

The woman was found inside the home with several gunshot wounds to her torso. She was declared dead at the scene. 

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman as Jessica Marie Thompson.

Moon, 51, is also accused of shooting his 17-year-old grandson who had recently moved into the home with his grandparents. 

The teenager was shot in the shoulder and was being treated at a local hospital. 

Cleveland police are still investigating the shooting.
