Parma has been ranked the 64th safest city in the country, according to the National Council for Home Safety and Security.
According to statistics from the most recent FBI Uniform Crime Report and research from the National Council for Home Safety and Security, Parma has 99 violent crimes per 100,000 people and 1,289 property crimes per 100,000.
Parma is the only city from Ohio to make the list.
Mayor Time DeGeeter acknowledged law enforcement and the residents of Parma for the city's ranking.
