A Parma School District employee has been sentenced to two years probation after engaging in a sexual relationship with a student.

Ashley Brooke Mason, 25, was given a sex offender probation, meaning she had to fill out a sex offender form in court and has to report to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office Sex Offender Unit for the next 15 years.

Mason pleaded guilty to attempted felonious assault and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor on Feb. 16. Mason, who is a sign language interpreter for the district, maintained a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old student between the months of January and February of this year, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's office.
