A Warrensville Heights man left the hospital against medical advice with a life-threatening injury, after a bus stop shooting at East 131 Street and Miles Avenue Sunday, according to Cleveland police reports.
EMS were pulling out with the victim and headed toward University Hospital as officers arrived, following a radio call about the incident at around 2:30 a.m.
Police said the 37-year-old victim was uncooperative and appeared to be intoxicated when they questioned him later at the hospital.
The victim told police that while he was at the bus stop a man in a four-door silver car pulled up and they began to argue.
He also reported that he told the driver to get out of the car and the driver did. But the driver allegedly came out firing with a Hi-Point 9mm handgun, according to reports. The victim recalled hearing seven shots.
A witness also reported seeing two men arguing and one of them getting out of his vehicle and shooting. The suspect then got back in the vehicle and left, according to the witness.
The suspect is described as a black man with a light complexion who was wearing a dark leather coat, blue jeans and sneakers at the time of the shooting.
