Residents in Maple Heights woke up overnight after hearing gunfire erupt in their neighborhood.
News 5 was at a house on the 5100 block of Catherine Street just after midnight on Monday as officers investigated what appeared to be a house peppered with at least 20 bullet holes in the windows and on the siding.
Witnesses tell News 5 that 20-30 shots were fired.
Police said two people were taken to the hospital.
At least five bullets pierced the awning.
Police blocked off a lot across the street after finding shell casings on the ground.
EMS was on scene but did not confirm if anyone was injured or killed during the shooting.
