Two men in their 20's were arrested for shooting at SWAT officers when authorities were serving a warrant at the suspects' residence.

On Friday around 7 a.m., Maple Heights police along with the Southeast Area Law Enforcement SWAT Team, Cleveland Police Gang Unit, FBI and ATF agents, and in cooperation with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, served a search warrant in the 19000 block of Milan Drive.

Police reported when executing the warrant, one of the suspects fired at the SWAT officers making entry. No officers or suspects were injured and three suspects were detained.

Two arrests were made in connection with the warrant, police said, including 28-year-old Andrew Carr and 23-year-old Michael Menefield.

Carr and Menefield were scheduled to be arraigned on April 18 in Garfield Heights Municipal Court, according to court documents.

Authorities said eight weapons were taken from the residence along with a large amount of ammunition. Specific charges are pending related to the assault on officers and also on the weapons confiscated.
