Two men shot, killed in Cleveland Saturday

Homicide units were called to two separate incidents after two men were shot and killed in Cleveland on Saturday.

Cleveland police say a 57-year-old man was shot in the chest in the 2900 block of East 92nd Street after he and the suspect were involved in a verbal altercation. The incident happened around 1:45 p.m.

The suspect, 49, fled the scene but was found in the area of Woodland Avenue and Woodhill Road where he was taken into custody.

The victim, later identified as Morrison Jones, of Cleveland was taken to University Hospital where he died.

Another man was shot in the leg in the 4200 block of West 123rd Street just after 9 p.m.

Police interviewed a man who said he was given a ride by the victim. When he returned to the car, he found the victim bleeding and unconscious and called 911.
