Westlake police are looking for information leading to the arrest of a man who entered a store and robbed a clerk at gunpoint on Friday.

At around 10:22 p.m., a clerk at the Convenient Food Mart on Detroit Road near Dover Center Road reported to police that he had been robbed at gunpoint.

The man entered the store and pointed a gun at the clerk while demanding cash, according to police. The clerk complied with the request and was unharmed during the robbery. The man fled in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is described by police as being heavier set, weighing approximately 180 to 220 pounds. He had a black beard and a mustache. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants at the time of the robbery.

The Westlake Police Detective Bureau is looking for any information on the identity of the man or other information relating to the robbery.
