Wishes came true for more than 20 children and their families Saturday evening.

Children from Cleveland Clinic, University Hospital-Rainbows Division and Kids again took off on a United Airlines plane, a fantasy flight, bound for the North Pole.

More than 100 passengers boarded a United flight at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, complete with elves headed to the North Pole without every leaving Cleveland.

The flight took off and landed at gates that were transformed into a winter wonderland.

The children and their families met Santa and Mrs.Claus.

"I think it is amazing," said Sean Kirchens. His daughter took part in the festivities. "This means everything to us," he added.

This is United's 25th anniversary of its Fantasy Flights from Cleveland.
