Two California men were arrested on felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized 58 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop.

On Friday, troopers stopped a 2013 Cadillac with California registration around 11:10 a.m. for a following too close violation on Interstate 80.

Troopers say criminal indicators were observed and a U.S. Border Patrol drug-sniffing canine was alerted to the car.

Troopers searched the car and found the marijuana, valued at $135,430.

James Turner, 26, and Pedro Nunez, 24, both from Bakersfield, California, taken to the Erie County Jail and charged with possession and trafficking in marijuana.

If convicted, both men could face up to 16 years in prison and up to a $30,000 fine.
