GEAUGA COUNTY, Ohio — A driver who was ejected from a vehicle during a crash in Munson Township has died, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened Friday at 3:57 a.m. on Wilson-Mills Road, west of Fowler Mills Road in Geauga County.
A preliminary investigation revealed that 2011 Volkswagen Jetta was traveling west on Wilson-Mills Road when it traveled off the right side of the road and struck a ditch and overturned.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle, state troopers said. The driver was pronounced dead.
The crash closed Wilson-Mills Road for approximately two hours.
State troopers said it is unknown if alcohol played a factor in the crash. The driver was not wearing a seat belt.
The identity of the driver has not been released.
