FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A 75-year-old man died Friday evening when his truck was struck by a school bus in Fairfield Township.
The crash happened just before 6 p.m. on State Route 162 near mile marker 14.
The man, C.L. Jones, of Greenwich, was getting out of his 2004 Dodge Dakota truck on State Route 162 when a 2017 Blue Bird school bus collided with his vehicle, authorities said. The impact caused the truck to slide off the side of road.
The bus driver, a 47-year-old woman from Willard, was treated on scene for minor injuries, authorities said.
Alcohol and or drugs don’t appear to be a factor in the crash, troopers said.
The matter remains under investigation.
