HURON COUNTY, Ohio — An 18-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash after he lost control of his car and went off the right side of Plymouth Road, just east of State Route 13 in Greenwich Township, located in Huron County, according to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

David France Jr., 18, of Greenwich, Ohio, was traveling on Plymouth East Road when he lost control of his car and went off the side of the road, striking a ditch.

His vehicle overturned several times before coming to a rest on his driver's door in a farm field.

Troopers said he was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

Eastman Funeral Home responded to the crash scene and transported him to the funeral home.

Troopers said unsafe speeding and alcohol use are considered as factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
