Madison, which has experienced frequent earthquakes over the past several years, had another on Wednesday night.
According to the United States Geological Survey, the 2.1 magnitude earthquake happened at 7:17 p.m. at a depth of 4.97 miles, around 1.24 miles southeast of Madison.
The area is no stranger to minor earthquakes.
Last month, a 2.9 magnitude earthquake was reported in the same area.
