An Amtrak train slammed into a car in Willoughby.
The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. at Erie and Depot streets.
The car was completely destroyed.
According to Willoughby Police, the driver, a 58-year-old man, was charged with OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor.
Police said the driver exited the vehicle before the crash. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
"The Willoughby Police Department is grateful that no one was injured in this incident and reminds the public of the serious dangers associated with impaired driving," police said.
The driver is scheduled to appear in Willoughby Municipal Court next week for an arraignment.
Amtrak said the Lakeshore Limited train was involved in the crash and is still operating normally.
