Armed suspect sought in Eastlake bank robbery

Eastlake police are investigating an afternoon armed robbery that occurred at Fifth/Third Bank on Jan. 9

Police said at about 12:20 p.m. a white male in his 20s or early 30s entered the bank branch on Vine Street announced a robbery, pointed a black handgun at a teller and demanded money. 

The suspect ordered the customers to lie down on the floor and then fled with a bag of money.

The suspect stands between 5-foot-8 inches and 5-foot-10 inches tall and was wearing a grey hoodie and a black ski mask which covered his face.

A witness told police the man got into a late 90s model champagne colored Ford Taurus wagon and headed east on Vine Street.
