On Thursday, some eighth grade students from Mentor visited with seniors at an assisted living and memory care community. They sat down with the seniors to hear their stories, and to get some important life lessons.
Joeseph Calori Sr. said he was glad that the students were enjoying the company of those older than them, adding it was important to, "listen to them and learn from them, because they've been through it.”
"I was really excited to come here,” said Maddie Womack, an eighth grade student at Memorial Middle School. “I got three choices and i definitely picked this one just because these people are so wise and i really value this time"
The students were visiting as part of their eighth grade day of service. The students spread out across town to give back to their community.
