PERRY, Ohio — The Perry Joint Fire District was involved in two water rescues on Monday.

The first rescue happened in Madison.

A park ranger found a dog that fell down a cliff.

After getting to the dog, they were unable to climb back up and were stranded due to high water.

Perry and Madison fire districts rescued the ranger and the dog.

The dog suffered a possible broken leg.

The second rescue happened in Concord. Perry, Painesville City and Fairport Harbor teams assisted in the rescue.

A fisherman had fallen through ice and became stranded in the river.

The fisherman was unable to make it safely to land due to the river being high.

The fisherman was treated for minor hypothermia.
