PAINESVILLE, Ohio — A 16-year-old boy and an adult male were shot early Friday morning following a free-for-all at a Painesville bar.
According to the Painesville Police Department, officers responded to the 500 block of Liberty Street around 12:30 a.m. after receiving a call about 15 to 20 people causing a disturbance.
On the way to the bar, officers were informed that shots had been fired. When they arrived, officers found a man who had been shot in the leg. The man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment then released.
While officers were still on scene at the bar, they were notified that a 16-year-old had arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his foot and leg. Authorities said the teen’s injuries were non-life-threatening.
Police didn’t say if anyone was arrested in connection with the shooting. The matter is under investigation.
