A 19-year-old man has died after a shooting in Lorain Sunday afternoon.

Officers were called around 12:30 p.m. to the area of West 22nd Street and Beech Avenue for a report of shots fired. A short time later, the victim — later identified as Keshawndrae Carter — showed up at Mercy Hospital.

The Lorain SWAT team searched a home on Beech Avenue to make sure there were no other victims. No other victims were found in the home.

The Lorain County Coroner confirmed to News 5 that Carter later died from his injuries.

Police are hoping to talk to 19-year-old Charles E. Pierre-Louis Jr., of Lorain, who is believed to have information relevant to the homicide. Authorities are not naming him as a suspect but are asking that anyone with information regarding his whereabouts contact Lorain police at 440-204-2105 or the dispatch center at 440-204-2100. Officials say Pierre-Louis Jr. is known to carry firearms.

Police are also hoping to identify the owner of the vehicle below, which is believed to be the suspect's vehicle.
