An Amherst Police officer is hanging up his badge after 50 years of service. Officer Robert Lane has retired after an extraordinary career in Lorain County and was honored by Amherst City Council for his five decades of service. Amherst Police escorted Lane home from his final shift, and News 5 photojournalist Dave Colabine captured the emotional moment.
