ELYRIA, Ohio — Elyria police are investigating after a 2-year-old was found dead on Wednesday.
Police responded to the 800 block of Hartford Drive in reference to an unresponsive 3-year-old female.
LifeCare and the Elyria Fire Department were also on scene. The girl had been pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers later learned the child was 2 years old.
The medical examiner said the autopsy revealed no physical injuries to the child. Authorities are waiting on further medical tests.
The death of the child is under investigation by the Lorain County Coroner’s Office and the Elyria Police Department.
