Wellington Fire District is currently looking for the person responsible for a garage fire that they believe is an arson.
According to the fire district, at around 7:06 p.m. on Sunday night they responded to a garage fire on Clay Street. Crews at the scene extinguished a fire in the garage as well as a trash can that was sitting next to the back door of the house.
Investigators from the Wellington Fire District and the State of Ohio's Fire Marshal have determined the fire was intentionally set.
The Ohio Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering a reward up to $5,000 to anyone with information leading up to identifying who was responsible. Anyone with information is asked to call the Wellington Fire District at 440-647-2245.
