ELYRIA, Ohio — If you live in Northeast Ohio and want to adopt a dog, now is the time to do so.
The Lorain County Dog Kennel in Elyria has taken is at capacity.
The shelter said the warden is on the road day and night picking up stray and loose dogs after the Fourth of July.
The shelter has not euthanized in over four years due to lack of space or anything other than extreme aggression or fatal illness.
They are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The shelter is located at 301 Hadaway Street in Elyria.
