The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash involving two vehicles from Monday evening.

Around 5:14 p.m., a 2007 Yamaha Star was traveling north on State Route 83 while a 2013 Nissan Altima was going in the opposite direction, according to troopers. The Nissan did not yield the right of way while making a left turn onto Grafton Eastern Road and was hit by the Yamaha.

The motorcyclist was ejected off the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet and suffered serious, incapacitating injuries. He was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center by Life Flight.

The driver of the Nissan and her juvenile son were both wearing their seatbelts; neither had any injuries as a result of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation. Any charges are pending the results of the investigation.
