Avon Lake police are investigating multiple reports of vehicles with fire damage.
Early Wednesday, residents on Fay Avenue reported hearing a loud noise outside. When officers responded, they found a car on fire in a driveway of a home.
Later in the day officers responded to Stoney Brook Drive for another report of damage to a vehicle. Police found fire damage to the driver's side of a truck that was parked in a driveway.
Two mailboxes in the area were also damaged and mail in one mailbox was burnt.
Police believe the cases are related.
