A newspaper delivery driver found a man dead at an apartment complex in Sheffield Village early Friday.
According to Sheffield Village police, the man was found with a gunshot wound at the end of a driveway in the 5640 block of Waterford Drive around 4:30 a.m.
Police Chief Larry Bliss said he's been with the department since 1989 and this is the first homicide he's worked on.
Authorities said the home where the victim was found had been entered and ransacked.
The victim was a black man who appeared to be in his 20s. His identity has not yet been released.
