Law enforcement officers from Northeast Ohio took part in a procession Friday afternoon for an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper, who was killed when he was hit by a car on Interstate 90.
Trooper Kenneth Velez was hit by a car while conducting traffic enforcement on Interstate 90 Thursday and later died from his injuries.
The procession was scheduled to start at the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office at 1 p.m.
Officers accompanied Velez's body to the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home in Lorain.
