Two people were found dead after a domestic dispute turned violent in Sheffield Lake on Friday afternoon.
The Sheffield Lake Police Chief Tony Campo said that the incident was a murder-suicide. Both a man and a woman were found dead inside the Lake Road home.
Campo said dispatch heard shots being fired during a 911 call and as officers were approaching two more shots rang out. Police set up sharp shooters and used military-style equipment to surround the home for hours.
The incident broke out around 1 p.m. and the bodies were found around 4 p.m. when SWAT entered the home.

The Lorain County SWAT team responded to the call, which police say began with an "open line" 911 call where sounds of fighting and gun shots could be heard. Police established a command post at the Sheffield Lake Community Center and closed Lake Road from the community center to West Shore Boulevard.
