Medina County welcomed hundreds to observe International Overdose Awareness Day on Friday. Recovering addicts united with loved ones who have lost someone to drug abuse.
Participants learned how to prevent overdoses and local recovery agencies shared information on how to receive free overdose reversal kits.
Friday night's event kicks off National Recovery Month.
