MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio — With many schools still virtual, some preschool-aged children aren’t getting the instruction they need to prepare them for kindergarten—but the Medina County District Library is working to solve that problem.
On the library’s website there is an entire section dedicated to making sure children are up to speed before starting school with their Early Literacy section, highlighting a challenge for children to read 1,000 books before kindergarten.
Families can sign up for virtual storytimes and the library is even giving away prizes for reaching reading milestones.
