MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio — The Medina County SPCA needs help after rescuing 15 Havanese dogs from an overwhelmed breeder.

The shelter said the dogs have not gotten the best of care.

The dogs need to be spayed and neutered, and some will need to have surgery for cherry eyes, hernias and mammary tumors.

Any dog that is in good enough shape to be donated, will be available in the next couple of days.

The shelter said this is going to take a serious hit to their medical fund and appreciates anything that anyone can donate.

The medical costs are estimated to be over $3,000.
