The Portage County Sheriff's Office is investigating a "suspicious death" after a man's body was found following a fire in a Rootstown Township home.
According to the sheriff's office, the victim was found lying face down on a bedroom floor of a home on Smith Avenue.
His name has not been released. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
Authorities said they are treating the case as a homicide, but have not ruled out the possibility of a suicide.
BCI is also assisting with the investigation.
