State Route 14 was closed between State Route 59 and State Route 5 due to a gas leak on Wednesday, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The highway reopened around 3:15 p.m.
The leak occurred after a construction crew hit the line, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.
No injuries or evacuations have been reported.
A little after 1:30 p.m., Dominion gas was headed to the area to turn the gas off, officials said.
Transportation authorities ask motorists to avoid the area.
