KENT, Ohio — Saturday marks the 49th anniversary of the Kent State University shooting that left four students dead and nine others injured when the Ohio National Guard opened fire on a Vietnam anti-war protest.
Saturday evening, journalist Bob Woodward will speak at the Memorial Athletics Convocation Center, 1025 Risman Drive, Kent, about the Vietnam war and the shooting. Woodward’s appearance is part of the university’s Presidential Speaker Series.
