The suspect wanted for injuring an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper has turned himself in to police, officials reported.

Todd A. Davison II was booked in Portage County Jail after turning himself in at Stark County Jail on Monday, according to OSHP.

OSHP said Davison was charged with assault and failure to comply with order or signal of police officer.

OSHP told newsnet5.com Sgt. Jeff Greene initiated a traffic stop near mile marker 1 on State Route 225. Greene asked the driver to shut off the car and step outside. The driver then re-started the car and drove away with Greene's arm still inside the car. Officials said the trooper was dragged for nearly 50 feet by the suspect's car.

After Greene was able to pull away from the car, he pursued the car for nearly six miles, traveling at a speed upwards of 100 MPH. The chase ended near Alliance after authorities were able to identify the suspect and obtain a vehicle description.
