Donation jar for sick children stolen at Ontario gas station

ONTARIO, Ohio - Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman who took a five-finger discount and walked off with a donation jar used to collect money for sick children.

The theft happened on Dec. 18 at Speedway gas station, 2132 West 4th Street, Ontario.

Ontario is a small town just four miles west of Mansfield in Richland County.

According to the police report, an employee noticed a donation jar for the Children's Miracle Network was missing. Security camera footage shows an unknown woman approach the counter, grab the jar, hide it under her coat and leave the store.

Anyone with information regarding the woman's identity is asked to contact Ontario police by calling 419-529-2115.
