RICHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Richland County.
The crash happened on U.S. 30 and the entrance ramp from Lexington Springmill Road around 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
A 2005 silver Chevrolet Impala was entering U.S. 30 westbound from Lexington Springmill Road and turned in front of a 2014 red Volvo semi-truck that was on U.S. westbound, according to troopers.
The Impala was attempting to turn left into the median crossover, according to troopers.
The driver of the Impala, 88-year-old Frances Stamper, was transported to OhioHealth Mansfield, where she later died.
The driver of the semi truck was not injured.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to have played a role in this crash.
