LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A 65-year-old Ohio man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 93 in Lawrence Township, located in Stark County, according to the Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
State troopers responded Monday at 6:43 p.m. on State Route 93 north of Wooster Street for a fatal crash.
David Miller, 65, of Beach City, was operating a 2014 Honda Accord in the southbound lane of State Route 93 when he struck the side of a commercial vehicle's trailer that was backing into a private drive off of State Route 93.
Miller sustained serious injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the commercial trailer was not injured.
Both the drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
Alcohol and drug use as factors in the crash are unknown at this time.
The crash remains under investigation.
