An Amber Alert for two missing kids out of Holmes County was canceled around 3:45 a.m. Monday morning.
Just after 3 a.m. Monday morning, the Holmes County Sheriff’s Department issued a statewide Amber Alert for 2-year-old Milah and 9-year-old Ottok Riggs.
Deputies said 31-year-old Jayson Zachary Harper threatened his girlfriend with a knife while in a vehicle on Township Road 466 in the city of Lakeville.
He made her get out of the SUV and took off with the two kids.
Deputies later found Harper in Stark County asleep in his car. The two children were in the back seat unharmed.
Harper is now in police custody with charges pending.
