The Canal Fulton teacher and football coach accused of inappropriately touching female students will not be charged.

After a three-month long investigation, the Stark County Prosecutor's Office decided not to file any charges against Northwest High School teacher Vic Whiting.

Police started investigating after a mother said Whiting massaged her 15-year-old daughter’s shoulders and stroked her arm and neck in class on April 22.

Whiting was placed on administrative leave during the investigation. He submitted a resignation letter in July, stating that he would no longer be employed with the school effective March 3, 2017.

According to the school's superintendent, Whiting is using accumulated leave time until that date.
