NORTH LAWRENCE — The North Lawrence Fire Department is asking for clothing and toy donations following a fire that destroyed a family's home.

The family, which includes two small children, has been displaced. The American Red Cross is helping shelter the family for a few days, but all of the family's belongings were lost.

Firefighters are asking for monetary donations, clothing and toys.

Below is a list of items that are needed:

  • Boys clothing in sizes 6T and 10/12
  • Boys shoes in 4/5 and children size 12
  • Women's size 5 shoes and size 4 pants.
  • Women's size medium shirts
  • Winter clothing
  • Food

The children love cars, so anything to do with monster trucks. They also like Legos and anything involving Spider-Man.

"We ask if you to please donate anything you can to this family during this extremely unfortunate time," firefighters said.

Anyone who can help is asked to call the fire department at 330-832-6347.
