WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Marlington High School student has died after a rollover crash.
The crash happened Saturday night around 10:15 p.m. on Beech Street in Washington Township.
Troopers said a 2011 Kia Optima was traveling eastbound on Beech Street at a high rate of speed and passing vehicles in a non-passing zone.
The Optima crashed on Beech Street west of Colony Drive.
According to troopers, the vehicle hit a stop sign and a tree, before rolling over several times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle.
Troopers said the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
His identity has not been released.
