MASSILLON, Ohio — Two sisters in Massillon are in need of a bone marrow transplant to save their lives.

Ava, 3, and Olivia, 2, were both diagnosed with Leukocyte Adhesion Deficiency Type 1.

The cure to this disease is a bone marrow transplant.

Both of the sisters are in need of the transplant.

Once a donor is found, they will each need chemotherapy to wipe out their existing immune system, followed by an extensive inpatient stay before the transplant can be done.

The bone marrow transplant will take place in Cincinnati.
