North Canton police have identified the two men involved in the early Monday morning a murder-suicide as a father and son.

Emergency crews were called at 1: 30 a.m. to the 500 block of Harmon Street for an unresponsive person. They found Ronald Milliken, 49, was found with several gunshot wounds, according to a police news release.

A second body belonging to, Devin Milliken, 18, was found outside a park restroom in the 300 block of Hillcrest Avenue. The man appears to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The two men were father and son, police said.

Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Stark County Coroner are also assisting with the investigation.

Authorities contacted the North Canton School District to request the cancelation of classes at the North Canton Middle School due to the proximity of the nearby crime scene and the amount of time it will take to keep the area secured from the public.

Officials said the death investigation does not concern the middle school.

The district posted the closing on their Facebook page.
