PD find drugs in home, child stuck in toilet

Two Canton residents were arrested after authorities find drugs in their home and a child trapped in a toilet.

At about 11:07 a.m. on Jan. 21, neighbors reported hearing a small child continuously crying from an apartment on Kingston Drive, and no one answering the door.

The concerned residents contacted the building's maintenance person who let them in to check on the juvenile, 

They discovered a two-year-old child in the bathroom with his foot stuck in the toilet. 

Police and Child Protective services responded to the home where they discovered three marijuana plants and other drug paraphernalia inside the residence. 

As authorities were searching the apartment, the parents arrived on scene and were taken into custody.

The mother, 20-year-old Justice M. Chance, was charged with endangering children and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

The father, 20-year-old Rashaan Maleek Cuffee, was charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

They are both scheduled to appear in court at 1:05 p.m. on Jan. 27
