Seven people arrested in Canton heroin bust

Seven people were arrested at a Canton apartment Tuesday after police executed a search warrant and found heroin, among several other drug-related items. 

On Tuesday, the Canton Police Department's Special Investigations Unit along with Canton SWAT executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 1400 block of Rachel Street Northwest as part of an investigation into drug activity by Canton police and Stark Metro Narcotics. 

Police said more than 10.7 grams of heroin packaged for sale in smaller increments, marijuana, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, drug abuse instruments, and money were recovered from the apartment. 

The following people were arrested and charged, according to police:

  • Damion Raymone Lake II - Parker, 24, male
    • Charged with: Trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin, tampering with drugs, possession of drugs, being present at place where drugs are used or sold.
  • Maurazia M. Suggs, 20, female
    • Charged with: Being present at place where drugs are used or sold.
  • Arika Lee Hall, 22, female
    • Charged with: Being present at place where drugs are used or sold.
  • Duane P. Bowyer, 51, male
    • Charged with: Being present at place where drugs are used or sold.
  • Bobbi Lynn Clarke, 48, female
    • Charged with: Possession of heroin, being present at place where drugs are used or sold, possession of drug abuse instruments.
  • Christian B. Penner, 23, male
    • Charged with: Possession of heroin, being present at place where drugs are used or sold.
  • Samuel Joseph Kelly, 31, male
    • Charged with: Being present at place where drugs are used or sold.
