UNIONTOWN, Ohio — The Uniontown Police Department has issued a public warning about a new computer scam.

The department said there is a new scam going around regarding people being locked out of their computers when they logon.

A page will pop up that will prompt you to call "Spectrum," according to the department.

When you call "Spectrum," at the number provided, they will tell you that they can not help you, but "Yahoo" can. When you call "Yahoo," they will ask you to purchase Google Play Cards.

If this happens to your computer, turn it off and take it to the nearest IT service shop, authorities said.
