A 57-year-old Alliance man was arrested on Thursday after police say he fatally stabbed a man in the throat with a knife he was carrying in a basket on his walker.

According to an Alliance police report, Larry P. McBride was charged with one count of murder.

The report states McBride and the victim, Darrell W. Deubel were on the porch of a home on the 1500 block of South Linden Avenue when an argument started. The report said McBride went back to his apartment, got the knife and headed back to the other home to continue the argument with the victim. During the argument, McBride grabbed the weapon out of the basket on his walker and stabbed the victim in the neck, the report said.

Deubel was transported to a nearby hospital and later died from his injuries.

McBride was arrested and taken to the Stark County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 15.
