SAGAMORE HILLS, Ohio — The Summit County Medical Examiner has identified the victim in a Sagamore Hills shooting as Adam Lempner, 31.
The Sagamore Hills Police Department said Lempner was shot and killed late Wednesday afternoon on Shearer Road near the intersection of Carlin Road.
Two neighbors heard the gunshots and called 911.
Police said Lempner lived on Carlin Road.
They said Lempner got into the back of a car with a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old man from South Euclid.
Numerous shots were fired inside the car before the two men pulled Lempner from the
car and drove away, according to police.
Lempner was not the only one who got hurt.
The car was found at North Coast Behavioral Health in Northfield, after two employees called 911 to report that someone who had been shot was in their parking lot.
Police said the 20-year-old man had also been shot. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center Main Campus and is in stable condition, according to police.
The Summit County Medical Examiner said Lempner had multiple gunshot wounds. They said Lempner was taken to Akron City Hospital, where he died from his injuries at 1:26 a.m.
