The Sagamore Hills Police Department is investigating after a 31-year-old man was shot and killed.
Police were called to the 500 block of Carlin Drive at 5:30 p.m. after reports of a shooting.
When they arrived, they found the man with several gunshot wounds.
He was transported to Akron City Hospital, where he later died.
According to police, a preliminary report revealed that the man entered the back of a car with a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old man from South Euclid inside.
Witnesses said the two men started shooting at the 31-year-old man before pushing him out of the back of the car and driving away.
The car was found at North Coast Behavioral Health, where they learned the 20-year-old man had gunshot wounds.
He was transported to Metro Hospital in stable condition.
The case remains under investigation.
